I've always done illustrations, but didn't get serious about it until a couple years ago when I was teaching English in South Korea. Some of my students thought Gloria sounded like "gorilla" and started calling me "Gorilla Teacher". This hilarious nickname inspired a whole series of primate drawings, other animal portraits, and a real commitment to continue painting! 

I'm currently taking commissions and selling existing artwork.
